A BURLEIGH Waters sex shop operating illegally for more than three years was shut down yesterday after the council claimed it should never have traded in an industrial area. The Playhouse Adult Shop had applied for approval from council but was refused after officers deemed that the industrial zone was not suitable for a sex shop. Lucky Bitch Pty Ltd, which operates the Reedy Creek Road shop, has reported a roaring trade since opening and said it took a sole complaint last year to trigger the council response.
A council officer said that the shop was inconsistent with the industrial area. Sex drives ratings - TV and radio shocks and the nation is loving it.

Monday night's episode had 100,000 more viewers than the previous week with 1.04 million tuning in. The show, which stars David Duchovny, also became the highly prized 18-49 demographic's No.1 show of the night. |
