The Australian Christian Lobby is demanding political parties put the newly-launched Australian Sex Party last on their how-to-vote cards in state and federal elections.

The party, launched at Melbourne's Sexpo this week, plans to contest Senate seats on a platform that includes same-sex marriage, cheaper access to sexual dysfunction drugs, a national sex education curriculum and opposition to the Federal Government's internet censorship scheme.

There is a new conservatism creeping up in Australia -- we're becoming a nanny state where politicians can't talk about sex without giggling or saying something negative," founder Fiona Patten (pictured) said. However, the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) says the new party’s connections to the adult industry make it as offensive to women.

"Pauline Hanson was rightly put last on how-to-vote cards because of her inappropriate views on race," ACL director Jim Wallace said.

"The Australian Sex Party should be treated in the same way for its inappropriate views about women." However, Patten told MCV she denied the party held inappropriate views on women.

"We’re very pro-women and inclusive of women, which is something many of the churches can't say themselves,"

Patten said. "We respect everyone's opinions, and we ask they respect ours as well."
