Greens Campaign on Legalising X in States
The Greens have revealed that part of their election policy is a commitment to push for the legalization of X rated films in all states of Australia. Section 39 of their ‘Measures’ platform states that, ‘The Australian Greens will introduce a nationally consistent approach to the regulated sale of X-rated material.’ This policy was cemented between the Greens and Fiona at a meeting just after the Victorian state election and is the first time that a political party has recognized the inequities of the so called ‘national’ classification code. The Greens’ policies can be viewed here. Because the Greens are finalising preference deals which are likely to deliver Greens' preferences in marginal seats to Labor, and Labor's Senate preferences to the Greens, the government and Family First have panicked and come out with some ridiculous statements. Kerry Anne Walsh reported in last Sunday’s Sun Herald that, “Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile kicked off the hysteria on Friday by asserting that parents should fear Labor would secretly agree to support the Greens' policy of relaxing regulations on X-rated videos. Family First Senator Steve Fielding - facing defeat without Labor preferences - screamed louder, slamming the "grubby deal" that would deliver "drug shooting galleries in your street".”

Security 'bad news for sex drive'

Differences in sexual appetite may be driven by evolution

A woman's sex drive begins to plummet once she is in a secure relationship, according to research.

Researchers from Germany found that four years into a relationship, less than half of 30-year-old women wanted regular sex.

Conversely, the team found a man's libido remained the same regardless of how long he had been in a relationship. Writing in the journal Human Nature, the scientists said the differences resulted from how humans had evolved.

John Howard woos christian voters

For a country that has one of the world's most tolerant attitudes to gambling, you might be forgiven for thinking that Australia's Government would adopt a similarly liberal attitude when it comes to online adult.
On the contrary: In fact, quite the opposite would appear to be the case. In an effort to woo Christian voters, Australian Prime Minister John Howard recently announced the NetAlert program which, amongst other things, included the distribution to families of filtering software that cost AUS$84m to develop.
Ironically, but perhaps inevitably, it was cracked within minutes of release by a teenager it was designed to protect.
"For 84 million dollars, I would have expected a pretty unbreakable filter," said 16-year-old Melbourne teenager Tom Wood. "I tried a few things, it took about half an hour and [it] was completely useless," he explained.

Girls gaining fitness or losing innocence?
CHILDREN as young as seven are pole dancing in a trend that has sparked outrage among family groups. But the Australian Family Association said the classes were grossly inappropriate. ``There are plenty of exercise tools out there. Why choose a pole, the classic phallic symbol of the pornographic world?'' spokeswoman Angela Conway said. ``It certainly provides a great opportunity for paedophiles to see the children in a sexual way. By putting children in a pole dancing exercise class you're teaching children a sexual body language that they don't know the meaning of but adults do,'' she said. Australian Federation of Parents and Citizens' Association head Sharryn Brownlee said: ``Normally the P&C supports any sort of fitness regime to help kids get healthy but with the reputation of this industry, parents need to be very careful.'

AFL players posted pornographic images on Facebook
TWO Adelaide Crows footballers have been caught out posting hand-drawn pornographic pictures on a website accessible to children. The Adelaide Football Club ordered the crude images to be removed, condemned the players involved and yesterday issued an apology. The offending pictures were displayed on ruckman Ivan Maric's Facebook homepage. One – sent by fellow ruckman John Meesen – depicted a female performing a sex act on a man, while the other image, posted by defender Andrew McIntyre, was of a penis with arms. The pictures sparked outrage from politicians and Young Media Australia.
Family First MP Dennis Hood and Australian Democrats MP Sandra Kanck said it was inevitable these images had been seen by youngsters, give they were on Maric's homepage during the week which coincided with the start of school holidays.
