SEX sells. Just ask porn queen Jesse Jane.
 ``Billions and billions,'' she says from Cairns, where she is in town for a three-day sex convention.
 The former bikini model and ex-girlfriend of Kid Rock and Tommy Lee is the face (and body) of the burgeoning multibillion-dollar adult-film industry worldwide.
 In town to promote her latest film, Island Fever 4, the blonde-haired, green-eyed superstar manages to pout and smile and smoulder all in the same expression.
 But the 26-year-old from California does not pretend to be a talented actor.
 ``Typically you don't need a lot of acting ability to be a porn star,'' she laughed.
 ``You just need to love sex and look good with your clothes off.
 ``Most people don't watch porn for the dialogue.''
 One in four households in Australia looks at erotic films or images on a weekly basis, according to Canberra-based Eros Foundation executive officer Fiona Patten.
 In Queensland, that percentage is slightly higher.
 ``I don't know why it is higher in Queensland,'' Ms Patten said.
 ``The only thing I can put it down to is the sun and less clothes.''
 According to statistics compiled by Adult Video Network, adult entertainment -- including porn videos and films shot mainly in Southern California's San Fernando Valley -- racked up sales of about $US12.6 billion ($16.6 billion) last year.
