Qld women have best bodies

By Patrick Caruana

FEDERAL politicians have been put on notice - the women of the ACT think their men are a bunch of unfunny, horny, egotistical commitment-phobes.

At least that's what an online survey of 3700 people around the country has found.

The survey, commissioned by adult dating site redhotpie.com.au, found men of the nation's capital were "petrified'' of commitment, most likely to want sex on the first date, and the least funny of any state or territory.

They are also the least romantic.

Women as keen as men to have group sex, says survey
AUSTRALIAN women are as keen as men to take part in consensual group sex - and they initiate it almost as often, according to a controversial online survey.

These are the key findings of a survey conducted among members of the nation's second biggest online dating site.

Almost 40 per cent of respondents report an equal gender split in the group encounter, while a further 30 per cent report a majority of men taking part and 30 per cent a majority of women.

Almost as many women as men instigate the idea of group sex - 46 per cent compared with 54 per cent, according to the sizeable RedHotPie.com.au survey, which drew 8763 responses from among its 1.5 million member listings.

Adult Shops Discriminated Against in Job Network

Australia’s 1,000 adult retail shops and 500 other adult products and entertainment companies are being denied access to the government’s Job Network scheme under secret ‘moral’ guidelines.

Australian Sex Party convenor, Fiona Patten, said that federal government policies that stopped Job Search agencies from advertising adult retail employment opportunities, were stopping up to 5,000 people a year from getting a job in a legal business, purely on moral grounds. “These businesses cannot even apply to get a cleaner or an accountant through the Job Network and we would like the Minister to change the rules for job placement agencies under his new Job Services Australia Network”, she said. “The federal government should also bring in new anti-discrimination laws that stop people from discriminating against others on the grounds of job, occupation or profession”.

Sexy stuff on the upturn

Sexy stuff on the upturn despite global economic downturn.

RETAIL sales may be waning but for one high-end lingerie-sex toy business they are booming during the credit crunch.

All anyone wants for Easter this year is "sex and chocolate", according to Eloise Monaghan, co-owner of Honey Birdette with her friend Janelle Barboza.

In its third year, the business has two shops – one in the Brisbane CBD and the other in inner-suburban Paddington – selling underwear, bedroom toys, erotic fiction and saucy props. The opposite of a sleazy sex shop – there are no DVDs or magazines – Honey Birdette claims to be a "luxe boudoir" run by women for women, stocking only premium products from around the world.

Sex Party Finds Possible Source of Hanson Lookalike Photos

Call for Parliamentary Enquiry

A Photographer's Dream
I am a professional photographer who takes portraits of people, family and friends, as well as covering weddings and the occasional commercial. Anyway, last week a lovely young girl who looked about sixteen years of age, came in for a portrait to present to her boyfriend.
I asked her what type of picture she wanted for her beau and was flabbergasted when she said “sexy, maybe even naked.”
Now I like to think of myself as a budding glamour photographer, but the opportunity never presented itself until now. Oh how I envied the photographers at Playboy, Esquire and Ralph, who actually got paid to take naughty photos of great young bodies.
“How old are you?” I asked, fearing the worst but hoping my age estimation was wrong.
“Old enough,” she replied.

Sexual Politics
Eros Foundation Launches The Australian Sex Party - a sex and gender party to run for the Senate
Amidst a rapidly changing political landscape and an increasing resistance to ‘nanny state’ politics, Australia’s national adult industry association The Eros Foundation has launched the Australian Sex Party,  a new force in the Australian political landscape.

Eros CEO and party convenor, Fiona Patten, said the party was a sign of the times and an acknowledgement of the importance and scope of sexual issues in ordinary people’s lives these days. “People want their House of Reps members to balance the budget but increasingly they want their Senators to look after their rights and freedoms”, she said. “The Sex Party is the beginning of a new chapter in Upper House politics.”

Block Political Speech

SO CONROY'S INTERNET FILTER WON'T BLOCK POLITICAL SPEECH, EH?

Message from http://www.crikey.com.au/

"Freedom of speech is fundamentally important in a democratic society and there has never been any suggestion that the Australian Government would seek to block political content," intoned Senator Stephen Conroy on Tuesday.

Yet the very next day, ACMA added a page from what's arguably a political website to its secret blacklist of Internet nasties.

The page is part of an anti-abortion website which claims to include "everything schools, government, and abortion clinics are afraid to tell or show you". Yes, photos of dismembered fetuses designed to scare women out of having an abortion. Before you click through, be warned: it is confronting. Here's the blacklisted page.

Mandatory Internet filtering, says Senator Conroy, is only about blocking the ACMA blacklist. The blacklist, he repeatedly insists, is "mainly" child-abuse and ultra-violent material. He's protecting us from ped-philes, stopping terrorists, that sort of thing. It's like the regulation we have for TV, films and books. Except it's not. It's not even close.

As always, Irene Graham's meticulously-researched Libertus.net explains how Internet censorship actually works now and what the Rudd government has been planning.

Are you still with me? I like a good work out; hope you do too!
